About us

About us – Here at Build It Green we want to support governments, developers and DIYer’s to help use sustainable, non-toxic and low carbon producing materials to build the homes of our future.

The average new build home releases around 50-80 tones of Co2 emissions to the earths atmosphere just to be built. The materials and processes used to develop our new homes are one of the main causes. The energy used to heat and cool our homes are a further addition.  The Energy Systems Catapult Analysis shows that in 2017, the average household generated 2,745 kg of CO2 emissions from heating, which is around 31% of the total. To reach the target of Net Zero emissions by 2050, adopted by the UK. This would need to be reduced to 138 kg of CO2 emissions.

The world population is continuously increasing and the need for new homes, following close behind. As a population we need too start to take a forward stance on building our homes green. We hope to assist with this process, giving you the information and knowledge needed.

Our goal is to bring you the most up to date information on the best sustainable, non-toxic and low carbon products currently available. We aim to connect you with the manufactures creating these products and the like-minded developers using them. All with one goal in mind, to reduce the worlds Co2 emissions and create beautiful homes for our future.

Along the way we are looking to create partnerships with reputable and trusted manufacturers, that carry our values and goals in mind. When partnerships have been created, we hope to fund and consult on future projects.
